The learning objectives for the course will be presented by a person who trains builders to build ENERGY STAR Homes and is considered an expert in the field. Some of the learning objectives include how to help REALTORS and Real Estate Agents better understand energy features that are often not visible to the untrained eye for the purpose of highlighting those features and the cost savings to sell more homes. Understanding the single hottest energy topic in new construction today. The Home Energy Rating System is by far the single most used Energy/Green system used nationally today to market new homes. It behooves all people involved in the home business to understand this system. They will leave with a good working knowledge of what the HERS System is, what impacts the score and what it means to you in the selling of your homes. There is more to home ownership than Principle, taxes and insurance, there is also the monthly cost for utilities. Lowering utility costs by as much as $100 per month will allow for more mortgage in some cases. Some helpful tips on identifying energy saving features, some things to look for that will create discomfort in the home and unsatisfied customers. A few minutes on understanding the differences between natural gas and propane for the purpose of educating your buyers.

This presentation and others like it have been done all over the state with always high levels of interest and attention.
