Each day begins at 8:30AM and concludes by 5PM, including the 50-questions, multiple-choice exam at the end of the second day. Breakfast is provided, and you're allowed 1-hour lunch break at midday.

According to the 2010 U.S. Census: Adults aged 50+ represent more than 37% of the population in the state of Florida. This course looks at key differences in housing options, from age-restricted communities to age-in-place design to assisted living; applications of the Housing for Older Persons Act (HOPA); the ins and outs of reverse mortgages; the use of pensions, 401k accounts, and IRAs in real estate transactions; and developing a team of senior specialists, including estate planners, reverse mortgage lenders, clutter and staging specialists, and more.

The course material and exercises train REALTORS to:

- Develop and maintain mature client relationships while gaining the trust and respect of those clients.
- Use the tools to address major concerns facing mature clients.
- Help older clients take positive action in estate, real estate, and financial planning with offending.
- Become familiar with the various professional services and lifestyle needs of this audience.


Three (3) requirements must be met to attain and use the SRES designation:

 Successful completion of the two-day SRES designation course, including an 80% passing grade on the exam.
Active membership in the National Association of REALTORS.
Active membership in the SRES Council*
*New designees receive a FREE one-year membership in the Seniors Real Estate Council which provides exclusive access to branded marketing materials, publications, webinars, resources, and member communities. Annual dues thereafter may be tax deductible as real estate dues or marketing fees - check with your CPA! It's only $99 per year!
