Starting August 1st, there will be new rules and new forms that will change your closings. This readiness course will provide a brief history into the creation of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), why it was created and what the bureau regulates, as well as an in-depth look into the new rules and forms set forth by the CFPB: The Closing Disclosure and Loan Estimate and when they go into effect. The Loan Estimate replaces the GFE and early TILA and the Closing Disclosure replaces the HUD-1 and the Final TILA. Timeline for the delivery of the forms and how long the consumer has to review them will also be covered.
